2007 (Junior): In his first season on the USC Aiken pitching staff, Tyra became an important starter in the rotation...He was fourth on the team in starts with 10, wins with four, and innings pitched with 51.1...Made two weekend starts against Lincoln Memorial and #29 Armstrong Atlantic State...Had three scoreless appearances, the first coming on February 27 against Presbyterian out of the bullpen...Logged 1.0 inning of perfect baseball, striking out one...Got the start against #5 GCSU in the opening round of the 2007 Peach Belt Conference Tournament...Did not allow a hit in his 1.0 inning of work as USC Aiken pulled the upset 11-10... Recorded his four victories in a span of five appearances from March 20 to April 18...Picked up wins over Barton, Benedict, and two against North Greenville...In the April 10 win over Benedict, Tyra went 6.0 innings, not allowing a run, scattering four hits, walking one, and striking out a season-high five batters...Started the Pacers final game of the season against #14 Columbus State in the semifinal round of the 2007 NCAA Division II South Atlantic Region Tournament in Kinston, N.C.
