2002 (Redshirt): Redshirted by head coach Kenny Thomas.

2001 (Freshman): Originally intending to redshirt as a freshman, but came out of it due to injuries at the catcher position...Batted .250 with two runs scored in 10 games as a freshman...Started six games behind the plate with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

Riverside High School: Hit .446 with six home runs and 42 RBI as a senior...Named All-State and Cleveland’s Plain Dealer Player of the Year...Three-time All-Conference and All-County selection (1998-2000)...Batted .442 with two home runs and 24 RBI as a junior.

Personal: Michael F. Ross was born December 18, 1981...Son of Frank and Janice Ross...He is majoring in Business Administration.
