2003 (Sophomore): Invited to play in prestigious Cape Cod Summer League... Led the team in doubles with 22, just one shy of school record...Fourth on team in hits (59) and RBI (42)...Biggest game at the plate was a 4-for-5 performance in a Mar. 25 game at Newberry...Drove in four RBI in a Mar. 12 contest with Lindsey Wilson...On the mound, Key was second in ERA (3.29) and tops in batting average against (.124)...Threw only complete game on Apr. 5 in a dominating win over Augusta St....Struck out 12.

2002 (Freshman): Made a run at becoming USCA’s first-ever PBC Freshman of the Year...Started 53 games with 12 doubles, 10 homers, and 47 RBI...Went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI on Mar. 20 versus Belmont Abbey...On the mound, led the team and was seventh in the PBC in saves with four.

Greenbrier High School: Batted .352 with 10 doubles and six home runs as a senior...On the mound, Key was 9-4 with 99 strikeouts and a 1.74 ERA...Four-time First-Team All-Area... Led Greenbrier to back-to-back State Championships (1998-99).
