AIKEN, S.C. - The USCA baseball team recorded a 4-3 victory over No. 17 North Georgia Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 35-14 on the season, including 20-9 in PBC play.

Keith Gorman's team broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning. After a stand-up triple by
Evan Harding,
Chancellor Jennings brought home the lead-off batter on a groundout. With two down,
Blake Martin poked a single to left field and hustled to third on
Salvatore Laimo's full-count base knock.
Maverick Grigsby's RBI single plated Martin while
Donovan Glisson's hit drove in Laimo for a three-run cushion.
The Nighthawks plated a pair of runs in the sixth and one in the seventh, knotting the score at 3-3. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Jennings took the third pitch he saw and rocketed the offering over the left field wall for a 4-3 margin.
With one out in the eighth, UNG recorded a single. Glisson backed up the throw and quickly fired the ball to
Yariel Diaz, who tagged the runner for the second out. Moments later, Laimo made a stellar play on a high-bounding ball to get the final out of the stanza at first base.
In the ninth, Grigsby made an outstanding diving play to his left to get the second out of the inning. A pop fly ended the contest.
For the game, Jennings rattled off three hits, including a home run and a double, while driving in two. Glisson, Grigsby and Martin had two hits apiece. Harding notched a triple.
On the mound,
Ben Shepherd worked four shutout innings. He tallied three strikeouts and gave up just two hits and a walk on 68 pitches.
Brady Dunlop went the rest of the way for the win. He had four strikeouts and gave up three runs, two of which were earned, on seven hits. Dunlop tossed 80 pitches.
