FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The USCA softball team swept Emmanuel on Wednesday by scores of 9-1 and 12-2.
The Pacers are now 12-8 on the season.

Jaclin Poole's team jumped on top of the Lions early and did not let up in the first game.
Peri Rouillard led off the game with a double and took third on
Autumn Fisher's base hit.
Kate Newberry's sacrifice fly gave the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Lydia Johnson singled and hustled to second on an error in the second stanza. With two down,
Mollie Rollings reached on a miscue, allowing Johnson to race home. In the third frame,
Chloe Webb registered a two-out single before
Kaylee Bolding crushed a pitch for a two-run blast, making it 4-0.
Leading 4-1 in the fourth,
Anna Turner led off the inning with a single, but was erased on a fielder's choice. Rouillard singled and Fisher drew a walk, loading the bags. Newberry belted an offering for a grand slam, giving the team an 8-1 advantage. USCA pushed the margin to eight when
Madison Rogers' groundout allowed Bolding to score.
For the game, Bolding, Johnson and Rouillard had two hits apiece. Bolding and Newberry each had a home run while Rouillard had a double. Newberry drove in five and Bolding drove in two. Bolding and Rouillard each crossed home twice.

Ally Fleming scattered six hits and gave up one run. She accounted for six strikeouts in the victory.
Game two saw the Emmanuel take an early 1-0 lead. However, Poole's team bounced back in the third. With two down, Rouillard posted a triple and scored on Fisher's RBI-single.
Trailing 2-1 in the fourth, Bolding led off the frame with a single and a steal of second base. Johnson reached on a fielder's choice, putting runners in scoring position. Rogers' groundout plated Bolding, knotting the score at 2-2.
Abbie Kegley's base hit scored Johnson. After a walk to
Gracie Walker and Rouillard, the Lions changed pitchers. Fisher promptly blasted a single, driving in two for a three-run cushion.
Bolding and Johnson singled. Rogers was hit by a pitch, loading the bases. With one down, Rouillard's base on balls drove in Johnson and an error allowed Rogers to score for a 7-2 advantage.
Bolding continued her stellar day with a one-out double in the sixth. She hustled around third and scored on a base hit from Rogers.
USCA's high-powered offense continued to thrive in the seventh. Rouillard and Fisher singled before Newberry's double made it 10-2. Newberry swiped home and Webb raced home on a wild pitch.
For the game, Bolding Fisher and Rouillard had three hits apiece. Rouillard notched a triple while Bolding added a double. Fisher drove in three while Bolding and Rouillard crossed home twice apiece – as did Johnson. Newberry recorded two hits, including a double. Rogers and Newberry had two RBI apiece.

Claire Radford went 2.1 innings with a pair of strikeouts. Kegley worked the final 4.2 innings with a strikeout for the win.
