AUGUSTA, Ga. – USCA volleyball standouts Lexi Rogers and Anna Sommer have been named to the PBC Preseason All-Conference Team, which was announced Thursday.

Rogers, a redshirt-sophomore from Moore, S.C., returns to the court after missing most of the 2024 campaign. As a freshman, Rogers accounted for 2.62 kills per set and served up 23 aces in 84 sets. The standout notched 2.67 digs per frame and averaged 3.02 points per set. In six matches last year, Rogers registered 2.72 kills per frame and tallied 3.83 digs per stanza while accounting for 3.00 kills per set. 

Sommer, a senior from St. Louis, totaled 2.51 points per set a season ago. She slammed home 159 kills while hitting .288. Sommer was in on 60 blocks for the squad, including 13 solo blocks. She established a season-high 17 kills in the win over Francis Marion while posting a season-best six blocks in the victory over Flagler.

Head coach Glenn Cox's team was selected fourth in the preseason poll with 15 total points. Lander was first while Augusta and Flagler were second and third, respectively. GCSU was fifth while Middle Georgia was picked sixth.

USCA opens the season Friday, Sept. 5, when they play Francis Marion at the Bulldog Classic, which is hosted by Wingate.
