Seventy-Five Percent Of The Time
In the series opener against Columbus State, head coach
Michael Holder's team dropped a hard fought 5-4 contest. In the loss, the team produced four hits, three of which went for round trippers.
Josh Sharp swatted a pair of home runs while
Donovan Glisson also launched a solo shot.
Sharp Can Swing It
In the series against the Cougars,
Josh Sharp rattled off five hits in 11 at bats. Four of his five hits went for extra bases. He crushed two home runs in the opener before posting a double in each of the next two affairs. In fact, he's had an extra base hit in the last six games. This includes six doubles, two home runs and a triple.
Hobson's Home Runs
In Saturday's game at Columbus State,
Jack Hobson crushed a pair of pitches for two home runs. Both of his base knocks were of the solo variety. Hobson's two hits were tied with two others for game-high efforts.
Sunday Games Are Grand
Head coach
Michael Holder's team blasted a pair of grand slams in the 11-7 victory over the Cougars on Sunday. It tied the school record for grand slams in a game and was one short of the PBC record.
Inside The Numbers
This week, USCA plays Augusta on Wednesday, March 26 at SRP Park before hosting Lander on Friday, March 28, Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 140-71 (66.3 percent)Â in Wednesday games, 161-123 (56.7 percent) in Friday contests, 370-260 (58.7 percent) in Saturday affairs and 222-167 (57.1 percent) in Sunday games.
