Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the second, head coach Michael Holder's team sliced the deficit in half. Kaden Usry drew a one-out walk and stole a base. With two away, Cannon Frost belted a single to center field, knocking in Usry to make it 2-1.

Down 3-1 in the third, Josh Sharp roped a triple to right center field and promptly trotted home on a deep sacrifice fly by Capers Molinaroli. USCA took the lead with a two-run round-tripper by Jack Hobson in the fourth. Tyler Casciato led off the frame with a base on balls. With one down, Hobson rocketed a 2-0 offering high over the left field wall for the one-run advantage.

Trailing 5-4 in the seventh stanza, Cannon Frost laced a single to left field with one away. Brody Yeomans entered as a pinch hitter and promptly registered a single down the right field line. With runners on first and third, Sharp laid down a sacrifice bunt, allowing Frost to race home.
