AIKEN, S.C. – The USCA men's soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals in the victory over Middle Georgia State University Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 4-3-2 overall, including 2-2-1 in PBC play. The Knights fall to 3-4-2 on the year and 0-4-1 in league play.

Nick Sakiewicz's team jumped on top just past the midway point of the first half when
Samuel Mitchell took a pass from
Rafael Kawata and found the back of the net. USCA continued playing in the offensive third of the pitch and it paid off in the 34
th minute.
Kenny Kwizera Jr., found Kawata for a 2-0 advantage.
Felipe Mattos turned away a shot from distance at the 38:16 mark, keeping the contest at 2-0 heading into the second period.
Sakiewicz's team controlled the second half, possessing the ball for the majority of the time. USCA had several solid looks in the final 45 minutes of action, but the team was unable to tack on another score.
For the match, USCA controlled the pitch, recording 20 shots compared to four by the visitors. The Pacers totaled eight shots on frame and earned two corner kicks.
Kawata recorded four shots, including two on goal. Finley Dyer,
Emilio Roman,
Juan Felipe Ruiz and Mitchell had two shots apiece.
Mattos had three saves in the shutout victory.
