AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina baseball team lost an 8-3 decision to UNC Pembroke Sunday afternoon.

The visitors plated a pair of runs in the first frame and followed it up with two more in the second stanza. In the bottom of the second inning, Graves reached on a walk and moved to second base on a wild pitch. Two batters later, White II doubled down the left field line, making it 4-1.

USC Aiken pulled within two in the third inning. With one away, Sharp singled. Two batters later, he swiped second base and scored on Mozingo's double to left field.

The Braves added a run in the fifth and three in the sixth for an 8-2 advantage but Holder's team continued to battle.
