AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken student-athletes thrived in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.

For the 2022-23 academic year, USC Aiken's student-athletes recorded an average GPA of 3.225. Seven of the 10 NCAA Division II teams posted a GPA of 3.00 or higher. Additionally, 129 student-athletes garnered a GPA of 3.00 or higher. Ten student-athletes posted a perfect 4.00 GPA for the academic year.
During the fall semester, USC Aiken student-athletes held an average GPA of 3.175 and seven squads posted a GPA of 3.00 or higher. Additionally, 125 student-athletes accounted for a GPA of 3.00 or higher while 21 student-athletes notched a perfect 4.00 GPA for the semester.
In the spring semester, USC Aiken's student-athletes boosted the averaged GPA to 3.282. For the first time in school history, all 10 USC Aiken teams tallied an average GPA of 3.00 or higher. Also, 124 student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.00 or higher while 25 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.00 for the semester.
For the entire year, 43 percent of USC Aiken's student-athletes notched a 3.50 GPA or above. Collectively, 69 percent of the student-athletes carried a GPA of 3.00 or above.
