AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team posted a 10-6 victory over Southern Wesleyan Wednesday evening in a Southeast Region clash.
The Pacers are now 27-16 on the season.

Michael Holder's team opened the game with a run in the first inning before breaking open the contest with five runs in the second stanza.
Josh Sharp got things going with a base knock to right field. After stealing second, he moved to third on an errant pickoff attempt with one away.
Joseph Mozingo's single through the left side of the infield allowed Sharp to score for a 1-0 lead.
Luke Parker started things off with a base hit to the shortstop in the second frame. A walk to
Kaden Usry put two runners on base. Two batters later,
Jose Hernandez was hit by a pitch, loading the bags. Sharp lifted a sacrifice fly to right field for a 2-0 lead.

Jackson Hannon loaded the bases once again before Mozingo doubled in Usry and Hernandez. Hannon raced home on a wild pitch and
Justin Byrd ripped a base hit through the left side of the infield to drive in Mozingo for the 6-0 advantage.
USC Aiken pushed the margin to 10-0 with a four-run fourth inning. With one down, Mozingo singled to right center field and hustled to second on Byrd's base hit through the left side of the infield.
Nick Tripp doubled home Mozingo while pushing Byrd to third base. Parker cleared the bags with a three-run home run to give the home squad a 10-run lead.
Mozingo led the way with a four-hit performance. He tallied three RBI and scored twice. Byrd and Parker each had two hits. Parker launched a home run and drove in three while scoring twice. Blankenship, Hernandez, Sharp and Tripp each tallied hits. Blankenship, Hernandez and Tripp notched doubles.
Evan Condon worked five innings to pick up the victory. He struck out two and walked just one.
Aaron Flink tossed the sixth inning and notched a strikeout.
Cole Evilsizor, Parker,
Bryce Bulls,
Adam Krissinger and Byrd all saw time on the mound in the victory. Byrd faced one batter and struck him out swinging to end the game while picking up the save.
