HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team won game two of the three-game series against USC Beaufort Saturday afternoon with an 11-4 final score.
The Pacers are now 11-5 on the season and 5-0 in conference play. The Sand Sharks fall to 8-9 (4-4 PBC).

Michael Holder's team in the third inning with a double that scored both
Kaden Blankenship and
James Eckert.
Next batter up,
Justin Byrd, flied out to left field, which scored
Josh Sharp, and pushed the Pacers' lead to 3-0.
USC Beaufort reduced the lead to two with a run in the bottom of the third.
In the fourth, the Pacers scored three more runs starting with a walk by
Nick Tripp as the first batter of the inning. Tripp advanced to second when
Jose Hernandez was hit by a pitch. Two batters later, Blankenship singled scoring Tripp and advancing Hernandez to second. Eckert then reached base on a fielder's choice, but Blankenship was erased at second; Hernandez reached third. Sharp then tripled scoring both Hernandez and Eckert.
The five-run lead was reduced to two when the Sand Sharks scored three runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth.
In the fifth inning, a two-run homerun by Hernandez grew the Pacers lead to 8-4.
USC Aiken added insurance runs in the sixth when Blankenship scored on a wild pitch. As the next batter up, Hannon hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Eckert.
An RBI in the eighth inning by Hannon that scored Blankenship tapped the final score at 11-4.
For the game, Blankenship was three-for-five with three runs, an RBI and a stolen base.
Sharp was two-for-four with a triple and a double while also scoring a run and collecting two RBI.
Hannon was two-for-four with a double and four RBI.
In addition to Hernandez's homerun, he also had a single and accounted for two runs.
Luke Parker,
Marcus Mastellone and Tripp each had a hit in the contest.
On the mound,
Matt Garcia earned his second win of the season with 5.2 innings pitched giving up four runs on seven hits with a strikeout and two walks.
In relief,
AJ Deibel pitched 2.2 scoreless innings giving up one hit with two strikeouts.
Cole Evilsizor closed out the game for the Pacers with .2 innings pitched giving up just one hit.
