AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team lost a 3-1 contest at Augusta Friday evening.
The Pacers are now 15-8 overall, including 3-7 in league play.

Glenn Cox's team was led by
Emily Lammers' double-double with 15 kills and 10 digs.
Sadie McKay narrowly missed a double-double with 10 kills to go along with nine digs. She also added a pair of blocks.
Gyöngyvér Araczki notched eight kills, six digs and a pair of solo blocks.
Mallory Barash dished out 35 assists. She added six digs and three kills.
Kari Mercer led everyone with 18 digs.
AU held a 16-9 lead just past the midway point of the first set but a kill from
Alisha Pitt and an error by the home team made it 16-11. Mercer followed it up with a sensational service ace. Two plays later, Araczki went over the block for a kill.
Trailing 21-15, Cox subbed in
Sophia Hoffman. The team responded with a kill from Barash. With the score at 22-15, Lammers registered back-to-back kills. Barash split the defense with an ace before Hoffman connected with McKay for a point to pull the squad within three at 22-19 but the Jaguars managed to win the frame 25-20.
USC Aiken led 2-1 in the second stanza before Barash went across the court for a kill. Up 3-2, McKay slammed home a kill. Maintaining a 4-3 edge, Pitt, McKay and Lammers posted points for an 8-3 margin. Up 9-6, Araczki stuffed a shot. She recorded a kill before
Lexi Rogers garnered an ace to conclude the 3-0 spurt.
Leading 12-11, Araczki got things going for the visitors with a kill. Two plays later, McKay and Pitt combined for a block. Barash and McKay blocked an attempt before another miscue by the Jaguars forced a time-out with the score at 18-11. The Jaguars pulled within four at 23-19 but Pitt and Araczki finished the set off with kills for the 25-20 victory.
After dropping the third set 25-15, the Pacers clicked early on in the fourth frame. Tied at 1-1, McKay found the court for a point. Araczki gave the visitors a 5-4 lead on a kill. Moments later, Araczki's solo block pushed the advantage to 7-5. Araczki stopped a 6-0 run by the Jaguars, making it 11-8. An ace from Rogers and a kill from McKay pulled the team within one at 11-10 but AU rattled off four consecutive points, forcing a time-out.
The Jaguars led 17-11 before
Brooke Wroten found the court. Lammers followed it up with a point off two defenders to make it a four-point contest but AU stopped the scoring run with a point of its own. The Jaguars ended up securing the 25-16 victory.
