AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 5-0 contest to Young Harris Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 1-6 on the season, including 1-4 in PBC action.
USC Aiken played the visitors extremely tough throughout the match. The Pacers trailed just 1-0 late in the first half before being whistled for a foul in the box, which resulted in a penalty kick. The ensuing shot gave the Mountain Lions a 2-0 lead heading into intermission.
YHC managed to score three more goals in the second half for the final tally, but the match was closer than the score indicated.

Abelardo Rodriguez each tallied attempts.
Avila ripped a shot that sailed high of the frame just 3:01 into the match. In the 12
th minute of play, Johnson rocketed an attempt that was thwarted by the keeper.
Down 2-0 early in the second half, Denis posted a shot on goal. Kambel garnered an attempt in the 65
th minute that was saved. Trailing 3-0, Ohiwerei blasted a shot from 30 yards out that sailed high.
Panucci's shot in the 84
th minute missed high.
Tyler Hughes got the starting nod in the pipes and totaled four saves.
Cason Donahue came in late in the second half and promptly registered a save on a one-on-one play.
