AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team dropped a 91-74 contest to No. 5 Columbus State in the PBC Tournament Tuesday evening.
The Pacers conclude the season at 17-12.

Mark Vanderslice was led by
Preston Parks' team-best 18 points.
LaTreavin Black accounted for 14 points and snagged five rebounds.
Tyler Johnson came off the bench to net 11 points while also snagging five rebounds.
Tehree Horn and
David Strother chipped in nine points apiece while
Mason McMurray added six markers in the loss.
CSU jumped out to a 17-8 advantage before Johnson and McMurray connected on back-to-back baskets. Down 26-16 at the 6:13 mark, McMurray answered the call with a bucket in the lane. Horn found Strother for a three-point basket at the 5:09 mark and Black hit an inside shot to pull within three at 26-23. The Pacers trailed 40-33 before Horn buried a shot from distance with 30 ticks on the clock prior to intermission. However, two late free throws by the Cougars made it a 42-36 game at the break.
The visitors took a 60-49 lead with 14:31 left in the game but Vanderslice's team went on a run. Black started things off with a pair of free throws. After a defensive rebound by Johnson, Parks took a pass from Black and nailed a three-pointer. Two free throws from Parks made it a 60-56 game with 12:29 left, but that was as close as the Pacers would get the rest of the way.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 25-of-58 from the floor (43.1 percent), including six-of-22 from the three-point stripe (27.3 percent). The squad buried 18-of-23 from the charity line (78.3 percent). The Pacers held a 34-30 edge on the glass, including a 10-5 advantage on the offensive boards. The 10 offensive rebounds led to 10 second-chance points.
