MORROW, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team dropped a 73-54 contest at Clayton State Monday evening.
The Pacers are now 7-13 overall and 3-9 in league play.
Head coach
Mark Miller's team was led by
Emily Trushel's game-high 16 points on seven-of-10 shooting. She also added six rebounds.
Chidinma Okafor accounted for 11 points, seven boards and three blocks.
Delaney Trushel totaled eight points and eight rebounds in addition to four assists and three steals.
Allycia Harris added seven points and three rebounds.
Mackenzie Cochrane notched six points and four boards.
Grace Crawford contributed three points on a long-distance shot while
McKenzie Lott and
Madison Williams added two points and one point, respectively.
For the game, USC Aiken buried 21-of-43 from the floor (48.8 percent), including three-of-eight from downtown (37.5 percent). Miller's team was solid at the charity stripe, hitting 81.8 percent on nine-of-11 attempts.
The Pacers out-rebounded the home team 34-28. The eight offensive rebounds led to nine second-chance points. The squad distributed 12 assists on 21 field goals. USC Aiken netted 28 points in the paint.
