Pacers Drop PBC Quarterfinal Match To No. 4 Lander

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team concluded an outstanding season with a 2-0 loss to No. 4 Lander in the PBC Quarterfinal Friday afternoon.

The Pacers end the season at 7-4-4.

The Bearcats managed to take an early 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute of action. In the 36th minute of play, Karis Coleman tried to knot the match but her shot missed high.

After a foul in the box, Lander converted the penalty kick for a 2-0 lead, which turned out to be the final score.

Kenna Souder registered a shot in the 60th minute that was left of the frame. Moments later, Megan Gettys narrowly missed a shot.

The offense continued to push forward and Shiloh Pirro registered an attempt, but it sailed high. Olivia Pall's shot on goal was stopped in the 69th minute of play.

Souder garnered a shot on goal that was saved in the 73rd minute. Gettys and Pirro each had shots in the waning moments, but neither could find the back of the net.
