DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at North Georgia Wednesday evening.
The Pacers drop to 2-5 on the season and 1-2 in league play.
Mary Cecil was outstanding between the pipes. She played all 90 minutes in goal and promptly turned away nine shots on goal.
Cecil stopped the Nighthawks with a save to the lower left of the frame in the 16
th minute. Trailing 2-0 just before halftime, Cecil was once again up to the challenge, snuffing out a shot to keep the score the same heading into the second period.

Tina Murphy's team continued to play strong defense, limiting the shots on goal for the home squad.
UNG managed to break through with another score in the second half for the final 3-0 tally.
Erika Bateman took the team's lone shot of the match, which came at the 84:36 mark off a free kick. The shot missed high.
