AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team notched a pair of wins Friday afternoon, knocking off Limestone 3-1 before defeating Coker 3-0.
The Pacers are now 6-0 on the season.
In the win over Limestone,
Alie Smith accounted for 17 kills and 20 digs for a double-double effort.
Alisha Pitt and
Sadie McKay each had 10 kills while
Anita Cookey-Gam chipped in seven.
Cat Bodick totaled four kills while
Kayla Duggan and Foster each had three kills.
McKay had a double-double with 10 digs.
Caroline Foster posted a double-double with 42 assists and 15 digs while
Kari Mercer registered 34 digs.
Lily Andrews accounted for seven digs.
At the service line, Foster led everyone with three aces while
Emily Duggan connected for two.
In the nightcap, Smith garnered another double-double performance with 15 kills and 12 digs. Foster distributed 29 assists and 12 digs to go along with four aces.
McKay and Pitt tallied eight and seven kills, respectively, while Cookey-Gam hit .364 with five kills.
Kayla Duggan posted four kills while
Sophie Meredith and
Emily Lammers had one kill apiece.
Mercer narrowly missed out on a double-double with 21 digs and eight assists.
Andrews and McKay had three aces apiece in the win.
