AMERICUS, Ga. –
Caroline Czarnecki netted the match-tying goal in the waning minutes as the University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team tied Georgia Southwestern 1-1 Monday evening in league play.
The Pacers are now 1-2-1 on the season while the Hurricanes stand at 0-3-1.
USC Aiken had several chances in the first half to get on the board, but all five shots on goal in the opening period were turned away.
GSW jumped on top with a goal in the 58
th minute, but the Pacers continued to push forward.
Mia Maupin's attempt was saved 10 minutes later. After another shot by Maupin,
Marianne Ross blasted an attempt at the 71:04 mark but it narrowly missed.

Caroline Czarnecki, who promptly found the back of the net to make the score 1-1.
Yasmine Vanden-Bossche had the final shot of regulation, but it sailed right of the frame, sending the contest into overtime.
Baylea Payne had the team's lone shot in the overtime sessions, but it was saved.
For the match,
Gressa Olson had three shots on goal while Maupin and Payne had two shots on goal apiece.
Georgia Martell played all 110 minutes between the pipes, recording eight saves.
