YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team recorded a 3-0 victory at Young Harris Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 13-2 on the season, including a 3-1 ledger in league play.
Set scores were 25-13, 25-18 and 25-15.
Head coach
Glenn Cox's team was led by
Sadie McKay and
Alie Smith, who each hammered home six kills. Smith hit .556 while McKay hit .308.
Kayla Duggan hit .571 with five kills.
Kaitlyn Rodriguez,
Alisha Pitt,
Anita Cookey-Gam and
Emily Lammers had four kills apiece.
Mallory Barash and
Sophie Meredith had 10 assists apiece while
Caroline Foster chipped in six assists in a set of action.
At the net,
Sophia Hoffman notched a pair of block assists.
Kari Mercer led the way with six digs while playing just two sets.
Emily Duggan and
Cat Bodick each played in a pair of sets. Duggan accounted for a dig and an assist while Bodick had a pair of kills and a dig.
In the third set,
Lily Andrews donned the libero jersey for the first time. Izabella Delima saw her first collegiate action Saturday, registering a dig.
