Box Score YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a hard-fought 3-0 decision to No. 9 Young Harris Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 1-7 overall and 0-5 in the PBC. The Mountain Lions are now 9-0 on the year and 5-0 in league action.
In the 19
th minute, head coach
Ike Ofoje's team nearly held a 1-0 edge, but
Abelardo Rodriguez's shot narrowly missed high.
YHC broke through the USC Aiken defense at the 28:13 mark, giving the home team a 1-0 lead. After a pair of saves by the Pacers, the teams went into halftime with the score remaining the same.
The Mountain Lions made it 2-0 in the 61
st minute of play.
At the 67:51 mark, Ofoje's squad had a golden opportunity to pull within one. After a yellow card on YHC,
Uri-Malcolm Young took a penalty kick, but it was saved.
