Emily Moore Added As Assistant Athletic Trainer

October 02, 2020

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with Assistant Athletic Director Brandon Aiken, is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Moore as assistant athletic trainer.

"We are extremely excited for Emily to be part of Pacer Nation," Aiken stated. "She came highly recommended and is highly motivated. Emily is hard working and is a great addition to our staff."

Moore comes to USC Aiken after spending two years at PBC foe UNC Pembroke. While in Pembroke, N.C., she worked primarily with the volleyball and softball teams. Moore handled injury assessment, developed and implemented rehabilitation programs, assessed general medical conditions and covered all practices and games.

During her time at UNC Pembroke, she covered volleyball, softball and women's basketball clinics. Moore was also a volunteer athletic trainer for two years of the Pembroke Classic Wrestling Tournament.

Moore is Board Certified, is a member of the National Athletic Training Association and the South East Athletic Training Association and has her licensure. Moore is certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, and EMR for the professional rescuer.

She did scientific research discussing how media affects body-image satisfaction levels and disordered eating patterns in collegiate student-athletes. An abstract with Moore's research has been submitted and accepted by NAKHE to be presented in its 2021 virtual convention.

Moore holds a bachelor of science in athletic training from the University of South Carolina and has a Master of Art in Health and Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise/Sport Administration from UNC Pembroke.
