AMERICUS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team notched a 65-56 victory over Georgia Southwestern Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 13-9 on the season and 8-6 in league play.
Kwajelin Farrar led the way with 20 points and a school-record 19 rebounds for a double-double.
Alex Canady notched a double-double with 13 points, 11 boards while dishing out four assists in the victory.
Alexis Mack added 11 points.
Melyk Taouil accounted for six points and nine rebounds.
Chesney Gardner chipped in seven points.

Mark Miller's team outscored the Hurricanes 17-5 in the opening frame. It marked the fourth-fewest points ever allowed in a quarter. The five points allowed in the stanza marked the second-fewest ever allowed in the first quarter of a game by the Pacers.
Leading 9-4 with 4:15 to play, Canady found Gardner for a jumper. Up 12-5, Farrar converted an old-fashioned three-point play for a 15-5 edge with 30 seconds remaining in the quarter. After a turnover by the home team, Taouil's lay-up made it a 12-point game going into the second frame.
USC Aiken pushed the lead to 14 after Canady scored five straight points to go ahead 22-8.
Kanna Suzuki's three-point shot upped the advantage to 14 at 27-13 with 5:36 to play in the half. Suzuki found Farrar for a 16-point edge at the 4:02 mark. Miller's squad made it 34-13 after a pair of free throws by Taouil with 2:07 to play. USC Aiken went into intermission up 35-17.
Georgia Southwestern tied the score at 40-40, but
Madison Williams hit two free throws at the 2:08 mark, sparking a 9-0 spurt. Mack nailed a three-point play for a 45-40 edge.
Rikoya Anderson started the fourth quarter with a lay-up and Mack hit two free throws for a 49-40 lead. With 2:42 to play, the home squad pulled within three at 59-56, but Canady answered with a lay-up. Taouil connected on a lay-up and USC Aiken was fouled again with 38 seconds remaining. Mack hit two free throws to go ahead 64-56. Canady chipped in a free throw with 26 seconds to go for the final tally.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 19-of-59 from the floor (32.2 percent). The Pacers out-rebounded the home team 54-31. Miller's team outscored the home team 28-20 in the paint.
