AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team placed five student-athletes in double figures in the 82-63 victory over Francis Marion Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 9-6 on the year and 5-0 in league play.

Mark Vanderslice's team was led by
Damontez Oliver's team-high 17 points.
Dhieu Deing added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to go along with five assists.
Shaquan Jules posted 16 points and seven rebounds while
Faison Brock notched 14 points and 11 boards.
Gus Rowland tallied 11 points, six assists and four steals.
Robert Hill chipped in four points, five rebounds and a game-best five blocks.
USC Aiken jumped out to an 8-0 lead. Oliver registered the first six points of the game before Rowland stole the ball and converted a lay-up. The Patriots tied the contest at 14-14 before Rowland's jumper gave the home team the lead with 9:13 to go. Jules hit a lay-up before Deing canned a three-ball, pushing the score to 21-14.
The Pacers extended the lead to double figures when Rowland hit both charity tosses for a 31-20 edge with 4:06 to play. Moments later, Vanderslice's team concluded the 10-0 spurt when Oliver buried both free throws, giving USC Aiken a 37-20 advantage with 3:06 to go in the half. At the break, USC Aiken held a 44-31 lead.
The Pacers extended the margin to 18 when Deing turned in a three-point play with 12:29 to go. With 8:21 to play, Deing found Jules for a thunderous dunk, giving the home team a 63-42 edge. Vanderslice's squad extended the advantage to 23 when Hill connected on two free throws at the 4:59 mark. USC Aiken did not allow the visitors to get any closer than 17 the rest of the way.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 32-of-63 from the floor (50.8 percent). The team hit 14-of-19 from the charity stripe (73.7 percent). The Pacers maintained a 47-36 edge on the glass and outscored the visitors 50-32 in the paint. USC Aiken distributed 17 assists on 32 field goals.
