SALISBURY, N.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at Catawba Saturday evening.
The Pacers are now 0-4 on the season.
Head coach
Hilary George's team had a solid opportunity from
Amanda Raleigh in the fourth minute, but her attempt was saved.
Willa Olson rocketed a shot in the 13
th minute, but she was turned away.
USC Aiken continued to play solid defense throughout the first half, but Catawba broke through with three goals late in the first half.
The Pacers tried to slice the deficit early in the second half when
Alyssa Broad registered an attempt in the 55
th minute of action.
George's squad had a pair of outstanding attempts in the 66
th minute as
Charlotte Mannella and
Gressa Olson each hit the post in consecutive attempts.
For the match, USC Aiken tallied 13 shots, including five on frame.
Madi Banks played all 90 minutes between the pipes, totaling 10 saves.
George's team also accounted for four corner kicks in the match.
