AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 14 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team lost a 4-3 contest to No. 7 Flagler Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 11-2 on the season and 4-2 in league play. The Lions are now 11-5 overall and 4-2 in conference.
Head coach
Steve Dahm's team secured the doubles point by claiming all three doubles matches. Top-seeded
Salvador Bandeira and
Antonio Sabugueiro notched a 6-2 victory.
Vicente Andrades and
Tales Silva accounted for a 6-2 win at the No. 2 slot while
Alex Sklizovic and
Francesco Satta finished off their opponents with a 6-3 win at No. 3.
Sabugueiro won his singles match by a 6-0, 6-3 count at the No. 3 position and Andrades claimed a 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 4.
Alvaro Garcia Gil and
Valentin Mounoto dit Larroque each dropped three-set contests to the Saints in singles action.
The Pacers return to action Friday when they host Georgia College at 1 p.m.
