ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team lost a hard-fought game at Flagler on a last-second shot by a score of 67-66.
The Pacers are now 12-11 overall and 8-9 in league play. The Saints stand at 16-6 on the year and 12-4 against conference competition.

Mark Miller's team was led by
Kyrie' Chandler's 19 points.
Kwajelin Farrar accounted for another double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Kanna Suzuki tallied nine points while
Phenicia Howard and
Sade Johnson chipped in eight markers apiece.
USC Aiken netted the first bucket of the game, but Flagler embarked on a 10-0 run before Chandler connected on an inside shot for the visitors. The Pacers pulled within two on a three-ball from Suzuki, but Flagler held a 14-10 heading into the second quarter.
Down 30-12, Miller's team went on a 9-2 spurt, pulling within 11 when
Star Toomey found Farrar for a lay-up with 12 seconds to go in the half. The squads traded baskets and Chandler's lay-up at the buzzer made it 35-23 at the break.
Baskets by Farrar and
Alex Canady pulled the visitors within six at 47-41 with 3:46 to play in the third stanza. The Pacers trailed 54-46 heading into a wild fourth quarter.
Farrar's basket pulled USC Aiken within seven at 62-55 with 1:07 to go. Trailing 64-56, Chandler canned a shot with 37 seconds remaining. Howard registered a steal and nailed a long-distance jumper off a pass from
Melyk Taouil with 28 seconds to go.
Taouil found Howard for another three-point shot with 28 seconds remaining to make it 64-61. Chandler stole the ball and buried another shot from distance, knotting the contest with 19 seconds left.
After a free throw by Flagler with 13 seconds to play, USC Aiken got the rebound. Chandler found Farrar for a basket with a second to go, giving the Pacers a 66-65 lead. However, the Saints managed to hit a shot as time expired for the one-point victory.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 26-of-60 (43.3 percent), including eight-of-23 from downtown (34.8 percent). The squad dished out 13 assists. USC Aiken held a 10-2 edge in second-chance points.
