Pursuing an education out of state would be an experience like no other for some. For others, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

USC Aiken senior cheerleader Emily Ginas has been involved on campus throughout her four years. In addition to being a cheerleader, Ginas is heavily involved in her sorority and with assisting international students.

The history major is back on campus this semester after spending the summer abroad on an archaeological dig in addition to seeing several places that most never get the chance to see in person.

Ginas recently sat down to discuss her interesting summer.
