MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 8 University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team posted a 92-90 win at Georgia College Wednesday in a league contest.

The Pacers are now 11-0 overall and 5-0 in league action. The Bobcats stand at 5-5 overall and 0-4 against conference competition.

USC Aiken was led by Faison Brock and Doniel Dean, who shared team-high honors with 21 points apiece. Shaquan Jules poured in a career-high 20 points on a nine-for-10 effort from the floor. He also snagged a squad-best seven boards.

Xzavier Barmore and Ty'lik Evans hit double digits with 10 points each. Barmore and Dean dished out five assists apiece while Barmore and Evans registered three steals apiece.

Jules gave USC Aiken its first lead of the game on a thunderous dunk off a pass from Barmore 3:47 into the contest at 8-7. The Pacers trailed 17-12 before Brock buried a three-ball at the 13:16 mark. However, the team continued to battle from behind, but Dean's lay-up at the 9:30 mark gave the visitors a 24-23 advantage.

Trailing 35-27, Barmore connected on a shot from downtown and Myles Washington hit a pair of free throws, bringing the Pacers within three at 35-32 with 7:02 to play in the first half. Down by six, 40-34, USC Aiken closed the first half on a 7-2 run to make it a 42-41 game at the break. During the spurt, Dean hit a pair of free throws and Brock scored five points, including three on a shot from distance.

Brock opened the second half with a three-point shot off a pass from Dean for a 44-42 lead. Dean's lay-up extended the lead to 46-42 at the 19:24 mark. The Pacers did not trail again until the Bobcats took a 57-56 lead with 13:11 to play. However, Evans drilled a three-point shot on an assist by Washington to quickly regain the advantage.

Leading 61-60, Jules hit a pair of shots before Evans nailed a three-ball, pushing the score to 68-60.

GC embarked on a 15-4 run, but a shot from the wing by Brock knotted the score once at 77-77. Brock answered the bell again, hitting another shot from downtown to tie it at 80-80.

Trailing 84-82, Jules hit both free throws and Brock's lay-up gave the visitors an 86-84 lead. Dean was fouled and hit both charity attempts for an 88-84 margin. A lay-up by Evans extended the advantage to 90-84 with 1:18 to go.

Holding a 90-88 lead, Dean hit a floater in the lane for a 92-88 lead. After playing solid defense and forcing a missed three-point attempt, the Pacers did not allow the home team to get a good look at the basket until an inside shot for the final two points as time expired.

For the game, USC Aiken buried 34-of-68 from the floor (50.0 percent). The team hit 10 three-point shots and continued to perform well at the charity stripe, canning 14-of-17 (82.4 percent).

The Pacers converted 19 turnovers into 24 points. The visitors also held a 33-18 advantage in bench points.
