GREENWOOD, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision to Georgia College Saturday in the PBC Tournament.
The Pacers are now 21-4 overall.

Glenn Cox's team was led by
Christine Carroll's team-high 18 kills while hitting a match-best .400.
Anita Cookey-Gam and
Kayla Duggan added 10 kills apiece while
Alie Smith contributed nine kills.
Ali Kirk dished out a team-best 27 assists while
Alli Bell notched a double-double with 20 assists and 19 digs.
Rebecca Martinez garnered a team-high 21 digs while Smith and Duggan added 16 and 11, respectively.
Vannah Strozier chipped in nine.
Brittani Vialdores totaled five blocks while Kirk was in on four.
USC Aiken held a 24-22 edge in the first set after falling behind 21-17. In the 6-1 run, Duggan had a kill as did Carroll and Cookey-Gam. However, the Bobcats bounced back and posted a 27-25 victory.
Trailing 15-14 in the second set, Duggan, Cookey-Gam and Bell all had kills for an 18-15 advantage. Leading 23-19, USC Aiken saw its lead dwindle to two points before Duggan posted back-to-back kills for the 25-21 win.
The Pacers dropped the third set and found themselves down 20-16 in the fourth. Then, an error by Emily Crowell and one by Kayla Brockway made it 20-18. USC Aiken pulled within one at 21-20 after back-to-back kills from Carroll. However, the visitors were able to stay a point ahead before ending it at 25-23.
The Pacers return to action next weekend at the NCAA Southeast Regional. The NCAA Selection Show will be tomorrow night at 10 p.m. on the NCAA.com web site.
