Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at North Georgia Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 3-5-2 overall and 0-3-2 in league play. The Nighthawks stand at 6-5-1 on the year and 3-0 in league play.
USC Aiken nearly got on the board in the early going, but
Ranaldo Bailey's shot sailed wide at the 7:30 mark. A minute later,
Sammy Viada's attempt was saved.
Jordan Misiri's shot was stopped in the 21
st minute, but the offense kept pushing forward, earning two straight corner kicks. However, head coach
Ike Ofoje's team was unable to find the back of the net.
After a goal by the Nighthawks, USC Aiken reeled off three straight shots.
Trailing 1-0 in the second half,
Kyllian Martin's attempt hit the post and Misiri's attempt was blocked.
Andre Salviano and
Neil Hamilton each had shots, but neither got past the keeper.
UNG added a pair of goals near the midway point of the half for the final 3-0 score.
For the match,
Alejandro Chavarria stopped four shots while playing all 90 minutes between the pipes. Bailey and Misiri led the way with three shots apiece.
