Pacers Race Past Saints

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team stayed perfect on the road with an 87-67 victory at Flagler Wednesday evening.

The Pacers are now 7-4 overall and 4-3 in league play.

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team was led by Doniel Dean's 18 points and nine assists. Faison Brock notched 15 points while canning seven-of-10 from the floor.

Henry Bolton III was nearly automatic from the field, hitting six-of-eight for 14 markers. Austin Grimes buried five-of-seven attempts for 11 points while Robert Hill accounted for 10 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Paris Ballinger chipped in eight points while Markus Terry and Kyle Tackeberry had four points each. Nenad Milenkovic hit a three-ball in the victory.

After falling behind 5-0, Vanderslice's squad roared back, taking a 10-0 lead on Milenkovic's shot from distance. Grimes' three-ball gave the team a 17-15 edge as part of an 11-0 run, helping the Pacers snag a lead they would not relinquish.

Flagler pulled within six at 36-30, but USC Aiken finished the half strong as Dean took the ball the length of the court and hit a runner at the buzzer for a 50-35 margin at the break.

Vanderslice's team controlled the second half, holding a double-digit advantage the rest of the way and cruised to the 20-point win.

The Pacers return to action Saturday at Clayton State at 3:30 p.m. Live stats and video will be available at PacerSports.com.
