AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision to Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday afternoon.

The Pacers are now 1-1 on the young season while the Bears improve to 2-0.

Head coach Hilary George's team competed hard for all 90 minutes, but the visitors managed to come out on top.

Catherine McHale, Willa Olson and Kennedy Smith tallied the three shots on goal for USC Aiken.  Gressa Olson had a pair of shots as well.

In the opening period, Cadwalader faced 10 shots, including seven on frame. She managed to save four.

The Pacers attempted to make a comeback early in the second stanza. After winning a corner kick, Amanda Giordano sent the ball into the box. Gressa Olson's attempt was blocked.

McHale notched a shot on goal in the 58th minute of action and Willa Olson followed suit six minutes later.

The Pacers continued to go on the offensive throughout the second half. Additionally, Tori Caldwell had an outstanding match in the defensive third for USC Aiken.

For the match, George's team was outshot 17-6. Cadwalader played all 90 minutes between the pipes and registered six saves. L-R narrowly won the corner kick battle, 4-3.
