PEMBROKE, N.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team lost a 70-55 decision at UNC Pembroke Wednesday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference contest.
The Pacers fall to 13-12 overall and 9-7 in league play. The Braves improve to 15-8 on the year and 10-6 against conference competition.

th double-double effort of the season, marking the most for a Pacer since the start of the 2000-01 season.
Carly Gilreath added eight points and six assists in addition to five boards.
Alexis Ware tallied eight points while
Rachelle Aupont had seven points and nine rebounds.
Miller's team got off to a slow start. Falling behind 7-0,
Jasmine Coach stopped the run with a jumper in the lane. With the score at 15-7, UNC Pembroke hit a three-pointer with time winding out in the first for an 11-point edge.
USC Aiken cut the deficit to single digits early in the second stanza, but the home team managed to take a 39-22 lead into intermission.
Miller's team got things going in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 12 points on a lay-up by Ware with 59 seconds to play before the fourth.
Farrar's jumper to start the fourth stanza made it 55-45. Coach found Gilreath for a three-point shot with 5:48 to go to pull the Pacers within nine, 59-50. Ware's old-fashioned three-point play cut the deficit to eight, 63-55, but it was as close as the team could get.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 21-of-78 from the floor (26.9 percent), including three-of-23 from downtown (13 percent). The Pacers canned 10-of-12 from the charity stripe (83.3 percent). USC Aiken out-rebounded the Braves 46-44.
