MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The No. 5 University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team lost a 1-0 decision at Mount Olive Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 7-2 on the season.

Kenny Thomas' team was held to three hits
Luke Westerberg belted a one-out single to right field in the top of the first. With two down, he hustled to second on a wild pitch. However, the frame ended with an infield pop-up.
USC Aiken had a chance to take the lead in the second.
Daulton Weeks singled up the middle and trotted to second on
Brian Parreira's walk.
Tyler Ammerman walked to load the bases, but a strikeout and a pop fly were recorded for the final two outs of the stanza.
The Pacers had a runner in scoring position with one out in the fourth, but two fly balls eliminated the scoring threat.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Trojans broke through
Joseph Benitez's outstanding game with a run on a wild pitch. It marked enough for the home team to escape with the victory.
Thomas' team had a great opportunity in the eighth inning.
Jose Bonilla singled to right field to lead things off. With one down, Bonilla moved to second on a groundout. He raced to third on a passed ball, but another fly ball ended the inning.
Benitez tossed seven innings, giving up one run on six hits while striking out 12. He suffered the loss.
