CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team lost a 61-59 contest at Johnson C. Smith Tuesday evening in a non-conference contest.
The Pacers are now 3-3 on the season.
Head coach
Mark Miller's team was led by
Marissa Bruce with 17 points.
Kyrie' Chandler and
Shay Fluellyn added nine points apiece.
Star Toomey pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
Chandler and
Melyk Taouil distributed three assists apiece.
Allenia Ponder swatted a pair of shots in the loss.
For the game, USC Aiken connected on 20-of-61 from the floor (32.8 percent). The team hit six-of-22 from the three-point stripe (27.3 percent) and just nine-of-20 from the charity line (45 percent) The squad was out-rebounded the Golden Bulls 51 to 40. The Pacers forced 25 turnovers in the game and converted the miscues into 15 points.
