AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team lost a hard-fought 79-63 contest to No. 24 Lincoln Memorial.
The Pacers are now 0-2 on the season.

Mark Miller's team was paced by
Emily Waters and her career-high 19 points to go along with 11 rebounds for a double-double effort. Waters also swatted a game-high two shots.
Melyk Taouil chipped in 11 markers on three-of-six shooting from the floor in 31 minutes of action.
Lonesha Lee came off the bench to hit for nine points while Melissa Bruce and
Celine Vega added six points apiece.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 22-of-55 shots from the floor (40 percent), including eight-of-22 from downtown (36.4 percent). The Pacers were out-rebounded 45-37. Miller's team dished out 11 assists on 22 field goals.
Trailing 25-13 entering the second quarter, USC Aiken played virtually even with the Railsplitters the rest of the way – only being outscored by four points.
Down 42-28 at the break, USC Aiken buried nine-of-13 attempts in the third period (69.2 percent). However, LMU increased its lead by two points partly due to the nine free throws made.
Miller's team battled hard, but the squad was unable to cut into the double-digit lead during the final 20 minutes of action.
The Pacers return to action Tuesday, Nov. 14 when they travel to Benedict at 5:30 p.m.
