AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team picked up its first victory of the season with a 1-0 blanking of Mount Olive Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 1-1 on the season.
In the win,
Chase Boulton pitched the shutout. He stopped all three shots on goal while playing all 90 minutes between the pipes.
For the match, USC Aiken totaled nine shots, including four on goal. The Trojans tallied seven shots, with three coming on target.

Ike Ofoje's squad accounted for nine corner kicks compared to four by the visitors.
After a scoreless first half,
Adria Dalmau broke through with what turned out to be the golden goal in the 74
th minute of play.
From 10 yards out, he corralled the ball and blasted a shot from the left center of the pitch and it found the back of the net.
Prior to that, USC Aiken had had registered a pair of corner kicks, but the squad was unable to convert on it. However, the relentless effort paid off with the team's first goal of the season.
The score marked Dalmau's fifth goal of his career.
After the Pacers' tally, the Trojans tried to battle back, earning a pair of shots and a corner kick. However, Boulton thwarted the last attempt by the visitors with an exceptional save, preserving the victory and the shutout.
