AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 49 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team garnered a 7-2 victory over the visiting Pfeiffer Falcons Wednesday afternoon.

The Pacers improve to 12-5 overall while the Falcons drop to 7-6.

Head coach Steve Dahm's team jumped out to a 3-0 victory and never looked back. Top-seeded Ettore Damiani and Julien Tan combined for an 8-2 victory over their opposition.

Mathias Degardin and Clement Raymond teamed up for a hard-fought 8-6 win at the no. 2 slot while Alejandro Andino and Hunter Lathrop garnered an 8-1 win at the No. 3 doubles position.

Damiani notched a 6-2, 7-5 win at the No. 2 singles spot. Degardin, playing at No. 3, took down his opponent by a 6-2, 6-1 count.

Lathrop cruised to his win at the No. 5 spot, winning by a 6-0, 6-0 count. Andino closed out the team win for Dahm's squad by posting a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the No. 6 position.

The contest was the home finale for USC Aiken, marking the last home event for Andino and Damiani.

The Pacers return to action Saturday when they travel to Georgia College at 1 p.m.
