ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 11 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished third at the Peach Belt Conference Championship, which wrapped up Sunday afternoon.
The Pacers fired a final-round score of 299. Head coach Michael Carlisle's team completed the 54-hole event with a 28-over par, 892. The team's scores were 292-301-299.
USC Aiken's Hubert Tisserand concluded the last round with a three-over par, 75. He tied for fifth after firing a one-over par, 217, for the championship. He notched scores of 69-73-75.
PBC Freshman of the Year August Lindvall tallied a 16th-place effort in his first postseason event. Lindvall accounted for a two-over par, 74, over the final 18 holes. He finished the tournament with a 10-over par, 226. Lindvall's scores were 77-75-74.
Axel Ostensson was one stroke behind Lindvall. He took home a 19th-place effort. Ostensson carded a four-over par, 76, over the final round. For the tournament, Ostensson had scores of 75-76-76 en route to his 11-over par, 227.
Johnson Holliday tied for 42nd at the event. He finished with a 20-over par, 236. Holliday totaled scores of 71-80-85 for his three-round score.
Samuel Schiff had a final-round score of two-over par, 74.
The Pacers return to action at the NCAA Regionals May 2-4.
