Box Score AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team is No. 19 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association National Poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach Kenny Thomas' team went 3-1 a week ago but fell to No. 19 in the rankings. Heading into Tuesday night's contest against Chowan, USC Aiken is 14-4.
The Pacers compiled 118 total points, just six behind No. 18 Southern Indiana.
Columbus State is the highest-ranked Peach Belt Conference team, coming in at No. 7. Lander is No. 24.
USC Aiken is currently third in the NCBWA Southeast Region Top-10. The squad had one first-place vote and tallied 73 total points. Columbus State and Belmont Abbey were No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the region poll.
