Box Score AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team comes in at No. 21 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) national rankings, which were released Tuesday afternoon.
USC Aiken (18-5) dropped from No. 19 a week ago after going 4-1, including a pair of wins over Francis Marion.
Head coach Kenny Thomas' team received 67 points in the poll. Tampa was No. 1 (372 points) while St. Cloud St. (358 points), Colorado Mesa (337 points), Millersville (325 points) and Columbus State (309 points) round out the top five.
Lander is 11th in the rankings.
USC Aiken is No. 4 in the latest NCBWA regional rankings. The team compiled 81 points and trails Columbus State (104 points), Lander (95 points) and Belmont Abbey (91 points).
