NORMAN, Okla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is eighth in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, which was recently released.
Saint Leo takes over the top spot in the national rankings with 535 total points. Chico State, which was previously at No. 1, falls to No. 2 to with 509 points. West Florida (501 points), Nova Southeastern (487 points) and Barry (450 points) round out the top five.
Florida Southern is sixth (433 points) while Lynn is seventh (369 points). The Pacers registered 362 total points for their eighth-place node. CSU Monterey Bay (346 points) and Central Missouri (342 points) complete the top-10 list.
Fellow PBC foes Flagler (11th), Georgia Southwestern (16th) and Columbus State (24th) also earned spots in the top-25.
The Pacers are coming off a seventh-place finish at the Matlock Collegiate Classic Feb. 8-9 in Lakeland, Fla.
USC Aiken returns to action Feb. 22-23 when it competes in the Wexford Invitational.
