ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory at Morehouse Thursday afternoon in a non-conference contest.
The Pacers are now 2-1 on the young season.
Head coach Steve Dahm's team dominated the match from the start. The top-seeded tandem of Julien Tan and Ettore Damiani garnered an 8-1 victory in doubles action. Mathias Degardin and Clement Raymond, playing at No. 2, posted an 8-3 win against their competition. Teammates Hunter lathrop and Alejandro Andino combined for an 8-0 shutout against their counterparts.

In singles action, USC Aiken was never seriously challenged while clinching the match.
Tan garnered a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the top spot while Damiani, playing as the No. 2 seed, won by an identical margin.
Degardin played the closest match of the afternoon, tallying a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 slot. Lathrop continued his solid play with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4.
Raymond and Andino each breezed to identical 6-0, 6-0 victories. Raymond won at No. 5 while Andino posted a victory at the No. 6 slot.
The Pacers were supposed to play at North Georgia on Saturday, but that match has been postponed. The team will now turn its attention to Anderson for a road match-up on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.
