AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team lost a 75-64 decision to Johnson C. Smith Wednesday evening in a non-conference contest.
The Pacers are now 3-3 on the year while JCSU stands at 6-1.

Jasmine Carter, who poured in a game-high 23 points. She narrowly missed a double-double with eight boards. For good measure, Carter tallied a game-best three steals.
Kwajelin Farrar totaled 12 points on five-of-six shooting for USC Aiken.
For the game, USC Aiken netted 43.1 percent of its shots from the floor, burying 25-of-58 attempts. The squad hit four-of-13 from downtown (30.8 percent), but hit just 10-of-18 from the charity stripe (55.6 percent).
The Pacers were out-rebounded 41-33 and were outscored 42-28 in the paint. USC Aiken held a 13-10 advantage in second-chance points.
Emry Tsitouris netted a shot to give Miller's team a 7-5 lead.
Carly Gilreath nailed a jumper for a 9-5 advantage before Tsitouris buried a shot in the paint for the six-point edge. However, JCSU tied the contest at 11-11 with 44 seconds to play in the quarter. Farrar's shot with six seconds to play in the first gave the Pacers a 13-11 advantage heading into the second quarter.
Although the visitors held a 40-29 edge at halftime, Miller's team managed to slice the deficit to four in the final quarter.
Trailing by seven with 2:36 to go in the game, Carter pulled up and nailed a three-point shot, making it 68-64. However, JCSU ended the game on a 7-0 run for the final tally. Â
The Pacers return to action Dec. 10 when they travel to Winthrop for a 7 p.m., contest. Â
