University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout Andrew Glover has been named the Bronze Body Tanning Salon USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2015-16 athletic year ending Jan. 24.
Glover, a freshman from Mt. Pleasant, S.C., led the Pacers with a game-high 18 points in the team's lone game of the week, coming at Francis Marion.
Glover's 18 points were a career-high effort from the student-athlete, who now has two double-digit scoring contests in his young career.
He came off the bench to play 13 minutes in the first half. During that time, Glover missed his first three-point basket but drained the next five attempts for 15 points. His scoring outburst helped the Pacers to a 13-point lead late in the opening half of play.
For the game, Glover was six-of-seven from downtown. He also added a rebound in 22 minutes of work. His six three-point field goals were one off the USC Aiken single-game top-10 list.
The Bronze Body Tanning Salon USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
