NORMAN, Okla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is fourth in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, as announced Friday afternoon.
Defending champion Nova Southeaster was first with 436 total points while Chico State (403 points) and Barry (400 points) rounded out the top three.
The Pacers picked up one first-place vote, but had 374 total points as the squad fell from third to fourth. Nova Southeastern had six first-place nods while Chico State picked up 12 first-place votes.
Lynn fell from second to fifth in the poll with 332 total points.
USC Aiken is coming off a victory at the Kiawah Island Invitational. The squad bested the talented field by six strokes while Hubert Tisserand picked up his first career individual victory.
PBC foes Flagler (ninth), Columbus State (12th), Georgia Southwestern (19th) and Georgia College (23rd) were also in the top 25.
The Pacers return to the links Monday-Tuesday when they compete at the Saint Leo Invitational. The squad won the event last year with a 14-under par, 562.
