NORMAN, Okla. – Former University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Andrew Ward has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, as announced by the GCAA.
A total of 91 players in Division II earned the honor.
To be eligible for the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78 and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his university.
Ward, a native of York, S.C., was a PBC all-academic team selection. He competed in all 13 tournaments and garnered a 74.5 stroke average. Ward was also tabbed the PBC Elite 15 award winner.
